斯雷布雷尼察大屠杀SrebrenicaMassacre

年7月11日到22日，波黑塞族军警以及南联盟派出的军警突袭并攻占了斯雷布雷尼察，在接下来的11天时间里对当地多名穆斯林男子和男孩进行了杀戮。波黑政府一直否认发生在斯雷布雷尼察的屠杀事件，直到年6月才终于承认。

斯雷布雷尼察大屠杀是第二次世界大战之后发生在欧洲的最严重的一次屠杀行为。海牙的前南斯拉夫国际刑事法庭将此次屠杀定性为种族灭绝（genocide），其后国际法庭也确认为种族灭绝。

25yearsago,whentheterribleconflictinBosniaandHerzegovinahadbeenragingfor3years,EuropewitnessedtheworstatrocityonitssoilsincetheSecondWorldWar.Over8,,mainlyMuslimmenandboys,werekilledinthegenocideatSrebrenica.Andmorethan20,womenandchildrenwereforciblydeported.

Iwanttojoinwithyouoncemoreinmourningtheevictimsofthoseterribleevents,andtostandwiththefamiliesintheirfightforjustice.

Asinsomanycasesfromthisconflict,whichbroughtviolenceanddestructionacrosstheWesternBalkans,manyfamiliesstilldonotknowwhathappenedtotheirlovedones.Manyperpetratorshavestillnotbeenheldtoaccount.Andtherearethosewhowouldprefertoforgetordenytheenormityofwhattookplace.
